Xpenselytics ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This app helps users track expenses, create budgets, analyze spending, export data, and optionally back up or restore data using Google Drive.
Most of your financial and expense records are stored locally on your device and, if you choose, in your own Google Drive account for backup and restore. We do not store your expense records on our own servers.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information you create and store in the app
- Expense records, including amount, category, tags, notes, payment mode, dates, and transaction type
- Budget information created by you
- Filters, analytics selections, and app preferences
- Exported backup files generated by you on your device
B. Google Sign-In information
If you choose to sign in with Google for backup or related functionality, we may access:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile photo
We use this information for account identification, personalization, Google Drive backup and restore, and important service-related communication.
C. Analytics and diagnostics information
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and improve app stability and performance. These services may collect:
- App interactions and feature usage
- Device information
- Operating system version
- App version
- Crash logs and diagnostic information
- Identifiers used by Firebase services for analytics and crash reporting
2. How We Use Information
- Provide expense tracking, filtering, analytics, and budgeting features
- Auto-map transactions to budgets based on category
- Enable backup, restore, and export features
- Personalize your app experience if you sign in with Google

We do not sell your personal information.
3. Where Data Is Stored
- Expense and budget data is stored locally on your device.
- If you choose device export, backup files are saved to your device storage or a location you select.
- If you choose Google Drive backup, your backup data is stored in your Google Drive account.
- We do not store your expense or budget data on our own servers.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share limited information with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate app features, including:
- Google Sign-In, to authenticate your account
- Google Drive, if you choose cloud backup or restore
- Google Analytics for Firebase, for app usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics, for crash reporting and diagnostics
5. Data Retention
- Expense and budget data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, clear app data, or overwrite it through your own actions.
- Google Drive backup data remains in your Google Drive until you delete it.
- Google Sign-In profile data used by the app may be retained while your linked account remains connected to the app, unless you request deletion or disconnect the account.
- Analytics and crash-related data may be retained by Google or Firebase according to their service settings and policies.
6. Choices and Controls
- Choose whether to sign in with Google
- Choose whether to use Google Drive backup and restore
- Export your data to your device
- Delete local app data from your device
- Delete backup files from your Google Drive
- Revoke the app's Google account access through your Google account settings
- Contact us to request deletion of account-related profile information we control, where applicable
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for securing your device, local backup files, and access to your Google account and Google Drive.
8. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Users
If the app is made available in multiple countries, information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by Google and its affiliated infrastructure. Data protection laws may differ by jurisdiction.
